Jhargram Raja Raghunath Memorial Sports Club (RMS)

The area was built by the initiative of the Jhargram Rajbari, many years ago (ESTD-1922).

But this current cricket academy was born in 2011. The working president of this ground is - Suvendu Bijoy Malladeb.

District-wise Sushil Shakari (an official from the state-level CAB) - he first made a 15-day camp here. Sandeep Patil (then Indian cricket) was the first to be inaugurated - and this camp was the birth place of this Cricket Academy. It has been running for 5 years now - there are 90 students, including the boys (boys and girls), there are three coaches (Milao Bera, Mr. Rao & Babi) and also being sent coach for 6 months every year from the official CAB (Cricket Association Of Bengal) .

Apart from the local boys of Jhargram, students come from different places - Gobhalwalpur, Bellevara, Manikpara, Dharua, Lalgarh, Shilada, Belpahari, Belpur, Purulia etc.

There are currently 5/6 students from the district level, under different age groups (Under14, 16, 19)

There are 2/3 people at State level each time.

In the 5-year ten-12 tournament, the winner has won here. In addition to this, there are some boys who have received Man of The Match recognition in other tournaments.

The only Jhargram RMS Cricket Camp in West Bengal is not used for business purposes, but many poor poor people are practiced for free. The committee is operating and managing the camp with a selfless motivation - with the help of only a few local businessmen from their own money and running the camp.



The main purpose here is to give proper training to the talented boys and girls in the right place.

Also, if it is better to help a little more financially for the camp, especially if the government pays for dressing room, separate bathroom for the boys, club house, field repairing, then the students are benefited very much now. It is also very important to get a permanent coach from CAB.

It is hoped that the government will give importance to the issue of future children in future.
